Dorset Coast Running Challenge
During April 2019 I will attempt to run and speed hike the whole of Dorset coast in one go. Currently there is not an official Fastest Known Time set for the route.
The route is approximately 100 miles with around 17,500 ft of ascent.
Why Run this Route?
- Set a benchmark Fastest Known Time for running along the Dorset Coast
- Raise awareness of the Dorset and Jurassic coast area
- Hopefully raise some money by sponsorship for the Jurassic Coast Trust.
Where & When
The start point will be Ware, Lyme Regis and I’ll follow public footpaths, bridleways and trails until reaching Chewton Bunny, Highcliffe on Sea. This includes a loop around Portland Coastal Path. This challenging adventure will receive support/crewing from White Star Running and the date will be 12th April 2019.
Follow my journey
Over the coming months I’ll blog about my training, visits to the area and how things are going generally.
If anyone would like to support, sponsor me or offer advice then please get in touch via Facebook, Instagram or this website’s contact section.
Thanks, Dan Williams
