Thank you for taking the time to visit this website, the personal website/blog of Dan Williams from the Isle Of Wight. This blog originally started in 2012 on a different web-address and shortly went on the back-burner. But it’s now resurrected.
About Dan Williams
I’m a keen runner from the Isle Of Wight, UK and started to get back into running and the occasional bit of cycling in 2010 after a 14 year lay-off due to back problems which started in 1997. After seemingly making steady progress, in 2013 I all but gave up on running. In 2014 I got my mojo back and was progressing well until managing to break both heels in late September, the day before I intended to travel up to the Rab Mountain Marathon!
Things mended quickly and I recovered a lot sooner than was expected. To the point that now (February 2016) I feel completely fixed.
I could be considered slow by many but that doesn’t deter me. I like to compete in orienteering, mountain marathons, trail and ultra running and even the occasional road race . I do use the word compete in the loosest term though, it really means I’m an also-ran that likes to race against my similar ability peers! See some of my results on my PowerOf10 profile to see what I mean. I also have a keen interest in mountain biking and to a small extent road cycling, as-in I watch it on TV.
